چکیده

Abstract With the world’s fossil fuels being finite in nature, an increasing interest focuses on application of alternative renewable resources such as biomass. Biomass-derived platform chemicals with abundant functional groups have potential to replace bulk for production value-added chemicals, fuels, and materials. The upgrading these relies development efficient catalytic systems. Hydrotalcite, its wide compositional variety, tuneable anion-exchange capacity, controlled acidity/basicity sites demonstrates great biomass derived chemicals. past decade has witnessed emergence research achievements robust hydrotalcite-derived metal catalysts their applications or In this review, we aim summarize recent advances biomass-derived (e.g., furfural, 5-hydroxymethylfurfural, levulinic acid, glycerol) via catalysts. We also observed that crucial role using strong metal–support interactions. As a result, section focusing discussion interactions was provided.

In situ catalytic hydrogenation of model compounds and biomass-derived phenolic compounds for bio-oil upgrading

The renewable phenolic compounds produced by directional liquefaction of biomass are a mixture of complete fragments decomposed from native lignin. These compounds are unstable and difficult to use directly as biofuel. Here, we report an efficient in situ catalytic hydrogenation method that can convert phenolic compounds into saturated cyclohexanes. The process has high potential for production...
